A “Note” From The Choir Director
We are beginning to prepare music for Holy Week and Easter. In the past few weeks, however, we have lost four members due to health problems – one tenor, one, soprano, one alto, and one bass. That hurts when the choir is only about 20 people. HVBC has always been known in the Association as a musical church with a very good choir, WHICH WE STILL HAVE, but the reduction in members has placed extra responsibility on those remaining. I truly and wholeheartedly appeal to those who are in the congregation on Sunday and can sing or have sung in the choir to consider prayerfully whether you might join us to make it easier for all of us. It is a wonderful way to use your God-given talents to worship Him. We rehearse for one hour on Wednesday nights. If you like to sit with your families during worship, but would be willing to sing, talk to me about options. I pray for HVBC several times a day and for its continued growth and service to God’s work. One hour on Wednesday and singing on Sunday morning isn’t much to ask when you look at how He blesses us each hour of the day, every day.
Blessings to all,
