Minister to Children, Youth, and Their Families
Hope Valley Baptist Church
Part-time: 30 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with skills and experience
Principle function
To extend the ministry and purpose of the church’s mission and objectives by leading, coordinating, planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive program for children (birth through fifth grade), youth (grades 6-12), and their families that supports their spiritual, emotional, and social development as it relates to their becoming and growing as Christians.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least five years paid or volunteer experience working with children and youth in a Christian setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We prefer the candidate be ordained or feel called to be ordained, but would consider a candidate without that background at the director level. Candidates must demonstrate strong Christian faith and a willingness to support the goals and beliefs of the church.
We are also willing to separate the position into two 15-hour/week positions, one working with children and the other with youth. Current students, especially graduate students, will be considered.
